Of Spec’d Inventory

My first exposure to architectural plans was draft class in high school. I remembered having difficulty sketching straight and consistent lines in this class (blame it on being left-handed.) All I knew was that I struggled with the craft, but I loved the struggle and wouldn’t mind pursuing this as a career. That was until music shot its arrow to my heart. Man is cupid one heck of a ballerina! If you’ve scene her then you’d get the picture.

Getting the Play Right

So many of us chase blockbusters as role-models; the course it gives us is what we deem the blueprint of success. We run the race, not prepared for the many obstacles we face; the opponents — some who are considered friends — all take sport in watching us fail. Thank God for Tyler Perry, who in his great feat this week changed the game for aspiring creatives everywhere. I hope we all will be inspired to dance through all the setbacks the enemy puts before us.

As I reach coming of age, I am becoming more aware of a system not conducive for safe and organic growth. In addition, divisiveness still ravishes our world where injustice multiplies. Ancient one! Do you see the importance of encouraging polymaths? It maybe that people have several passions, some untapped due to responsibilities. If we saw the art of martialism when building communities, we wouldn’t need to defend Qi Da Vinci.

Cataloging Backlogs

Truth is, I really want to do everything. Like learn and try new things in faith. Truth is, a rich store of abundance rests within us all through Christ. This is what I am most geeked about! Consider it my idèe fixe. But cursed be the son who steals the purse.

“A good person out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure brings forth evil. ~ Mat 12:35”

I challenge you to an duel uno. Let’s tally out our good qualities and record future projections of shared success. For example: If you are longing for your dream job, craft an artificial resumè showing that you’ve already worked there. If you wish to be an entrepreneur, manufacture a balance sheet showing your expenses and net profits. etc. Document them and encourage each other to realize our goals. Too often we hide or fail to pursue our dreams because of fear of failure, exploitation, and ridicule. I know because I face it too. Let’s kick fear to the curb! Punch out violence from our streets. Let us all grow peace in our neighborhoods while this vision crystalizes.

…And eventually I’ll reveal to you the number of businesses I’ve been working on. All of them — from Jay to Z.

By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established;

by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

A wise man is full of strength, and a man of knowledge enhances his might,

For by wise guidance you can wage your war,

and in abundance of counselors there is victory. ~ Prov 24:3-6
